Anyone who has children certainly has board games. Make a night of it! Pull all of the old board games out of the closet and take turns picking which one to play.

Try going for a hike. Search the Web for hiking trails near you, pack a lunch, and get moving. Take along a book about the local flora and fauna and it can become a learning experience for everyone.

Who doesn’t like movies? Have each family member pick out his or her favorite DVD from the home collection or take a family trip to the local video store and pick out some things everyone will like. Pop some popcorn and get cozy!

Local parks are always a great way to spend a fun day with the family. Many parks have so many options, it’s simple to stay entertained. Walking trails, jungle gyms, swing sets, and public pools are all great ways to beat the boredom. Don’t forget the Frisbee!
